I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
